Emily Mixon: Operating Manager

Emily MixonA famous modern dancer and choreographer, Martha Graham, once said, “Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body.” And, Emily Mixon shares that belief. Grounded in faith and inspired by God, the young woman expresses her creativity and spirituality through her dance moves. As a former member of Here2Prayze liturgical dance ministry at her church, the 23 year old uses her arms and legs to gracefully interpret the traditional and contemporary gospel music to which she performs. As a young person growing up in Minden, Louisiana, she developed an interest in arts education, partly, she says, to cope with the struggles of her early life. While in school, she excelled in choir, dance and even played the drums. After moving to Los Angeles in 2003, she attended and later graduated from Jordan High School. While at Jordan, however, she made the decision to concentrate her artist pursuits on dancing, specifically modern dance and hip hop, with the hope of becoming a professional dancer. Active in her church, Emily believes that through her dance ministry, she can share with young people, the value of artist expression in coping with life’s obstacles.

Over the past three years, Emily has done an internship with REGS Books learning the duties of an Operating Manager. Emily is the daughter of Regina Mixon and has tirelessly devoted her money, time and talents in the building of this company.
